DAILY ACTIVITIES
- Daily activities will be outside (weather permitting) to encourage children to explore, observe and appreciate the winter habitat around us. After our outdoor adventures, we'll head inside for nature-themed games, experiments and crafts. Other activities:
- Explore the winter forest and search for animal habitats, tracks, and other signs of life in the winter forest.
- Learn where animals get their food in winter, try some winter camouflage, and make an edible garland for winter wildlife.
- Discover the different shapes of snowflakes
- Imitating a survival situation, we'll pack a winter survival kit, create a survival plan and make our own maps. To celebrate, we'll make a winter fire with s'mores!
- If the weather is bad, we'll move the fun inside our cozy, rustic main building for some games, nature videos and hot chocolate. Yummm!
- Play "flock & flee" tag to understand what life is like for birds in the winter.
STAFF
- Staffed by our professional adult educators from our partnership with Ramapo College and trained Weis staff.
- Staff are CPR/AED and First Aid certified.

- Time: 9:00am-3:00pm
- Ages: 6-12
- Enrollment limited to 20 per day.
- Before and after care may be available. Please let us know what days and times you would need.
- Children should bring a refillable water bottle, a snack, and lunch. No tree nut products please! Dressing in layers and rain/snow gear are recommended (rain boots, snow pants, jacket, hat, gloves, etc.)

REGISTRATION
Once we receive your online registration, we'll email an invoice with details about how to pay by mail or online by credit card. Your confirmation email will also contain a parent fact sheet, a basic health form and photo release form, and suggestions for what to bring/wear list, and directions for drop off and pick up. Note: if your child attended our 2019 spring or summer camp, you do not need to complete a health form.

Give your child (ages 6-12) a special adventure during their winter break from school, with our nature-based programs. Programs are held at our beautiful Ringwood location in the Highlands region of northern NJ! The 152 acre property features a historic c. 1931 main building, covered pavilion, recreation field, and acres of forest and trails to explore and connect with nature.
Each day features different activities, games and hands-on experiences, to enhance your child’s enjoyment and understanding of the winter world around them. Crafts and games will focus on nature, science and the environment, and will incorporate the natural surroundings. Winter-themed activities may include searching for animal tracks, eating s’mores around the campfire and more. Part of each day will be spent outdoors exploring the winter landscape (weather permitting) so pack plenty of layers. Register for individual days - or signup for all three!
